Insights into early plant-food production at Göbekli Tepe – Data analysis at the WiNoDa Knowledge Lab
How important were plants in daily life at the dawn of agriculture? At Göbekli Tepe, the world-famous 12,000-year-old site in Turkey, we have a unique opportunity to explore the role of plants in early food production. This research uncovers which plants were part of the diet of the first humans experimenting with cultivation, as well as how they were processed and consumed across different areas of the settlement. Join us at the WiNoDa Knowledge Lab booth at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin to learn more about this groundbreaking project, conducted in collaboration with the German Archaeological Institute, it’s latest findings and the data behind them.
